Cellulite & Fat Reduction
What is RF (Radio Frequency) Fat Reduction?
RF fat reduction uses radio frequency to heat fat cells without making physical contact with the patient. The applicator generally heats fat cells from a distance of about one centimeter from the skin, which does not impact other types of cells in the skin.
How does Cellulite & Fat Reduction work?
Non-surgical cellulite and fat reduction uses minimally invasive procedures to break down fat cells in targeted areas of the body. Different treatments include Cryolipolysis, laser fat reduction, injectable treatments, ultrasound treatments, and Red Light Therapy. These treatments generally have little to no recovery time.
How does the fat become destroyed?
RF fat reduction uses radio frequency to heat fat cells without making physical contact with the patient. Heating the fat cells reduces the volume of the cell, resulting is a smaller fatty bulge. Some patients choose to retreat an area if they want to shrink the fatty area even more.
Is RF fat reduction safe?
RF fat reduction is considered very safe. It is non-surgical and non-invasive, and there are minimal risks to the procedure. Some patients report mild erythema (skin redness or irritation) after the treatment.
Who is a good candidate for cellulite / fat reduction?
Individuals who have a stubborn fat bulge that will not disappear regardless of diet and exercise may benefit from cellulite or fat reduction. Those with loose skin or poor tone may not see the results they desire.
How many treatments will I need?
The number of treatments will depend on the individual needs of the patient, but it is common to repeat treatments once a week until desired results are achieved.
How long will the treatment take?
A non-surgical fat reduction treatment will generally take about 30 minutes. Treatments may need to be repeated depending on the desired results.
What to expect after treatment?
Except in rare cases, RF fat reduction has no downtime or activity restrictions after treatment. Patients average a fat reduction of just under two inches, although individual results will vary.
Contraindications to treatment?
Patients who have loose skin, poor skin tone, are on blot clot medication, receiving cancer treatment, experience childbirth in the past three months, are under 18 years old, or have sensitivity to the heat or the cold are not candidates for treatment.
How can I prepare for treatment?
To receive the best results, it is recommended that patients follow a healthy diet leading up to treatment. Patients should also drink plenty of water to help expel fat cells.
How permanent is the treatment?
The treatment itself is permanent, although a healthy diet and fitness regime will be needed to keep up results. RF fat reduction does not stop new fat cells from being created.
What are the Advantages of Cellulite / fat reduction treatments?
Non-surgical cellulite and fat reduction treatments generally have little to no downtime and require no anesthesia or incisions. Side effects tend to be minimal and results are permanent as long as the patient continues to follow a healthy diet and exercise routine. The treatments also result in gradual results, making the procedure and process more discreet for patients.
